To have some small scratches in the bottom of your board? Is this at all avoidable? How much does it effect the board's performance

nah its not really avoidable. you're always gonna have scratches on the bottom, especially if you jib and bonk stuff.

you'll be alright, just keep a nice wax on it and it'll perform well. and try to avoid rocks and crap in the snow. that'll help out too.

happens to the best of us. keep it waxed and use a crappy board for when theres not much snow..
