Board Picks

Hello all,

First off Ill start by saying that I am no way a good snowboarder, yet. I have only been once and it was the funnest time I've ever had. I'm 6'1 240lbs and have a few boards in mind.

I've found a few Burton Bullets 161-164w and I do not know much about them.
I'm all about going down the mountain and sometimes catching a few rails, but would rather get a board that will allow me to have fun with a bunch of friends. I am completely for buying used to save money, but don't know what board/bindings/boots, to get. I was looking into getting some Burton Moto size 12 boots as well. Other than those, I am completely lost. Thank you all for the help in advanced.

Honestly you will do just fine with something like a Burton Bullet 164W. Its a reasonably priced board, base that you wont have to worry about waxing all that much, and fairly soft and forgiving. Combine that with some Burton Freestyle bindings, or Burton Cartel bindings if you want to spend a bit more, and youll be just fine. As for boots go into a shop and try ones on until you find one that fits just right, boots are really the most important piece of equipment. Doesn't really have to be expensive to be good.

Don't need umpty-ump threads for the same subject. Most users use the "New Posts" button so will see new posts regardless of what section they're posted in.
