Hey peeps, since I can't find a hardware questions thread, and plenty of people seem to post here for such things, I thought I might see if I can get a few opinions on some boots. I've been riding a pair of Burton Vikings for the better part of the decade (not my only boots, just the ones I always go back to), I've only had to replace the liner once, and they are still in great shape, and that's with over 120 days of riding each season, they were/are really well made...
Well its retirement for them now, and I am trying to find a suitable replacement, it's come down to three choices but I am open to suggestions. 1.) Rome Folsom - Black/White Flip-Flop 2.) Burton Sabbath - White/Snake Skin 3.) Vans - Andreas Wiig White/Plaid I like them stiff, I prefer traditional laces, and money is no object. I would love to hear some opinions on these boots and what people think. |

I just can't bring myself to buy Burton anymore, back when I bought my Viking's circa 1999/2000, yes, they were very high quality, I've had a few pairs of their mid-level boots since then, ruler's, grails, moto's, and they just did not have same build quality, each pair did last a season, but by the time the snow melted, they were sloppy floppy jalopy's. I am really looking for more information on the Rome's, they didn't feel as stiff as the Wiig's in the store, but certainly stiffer than the Burton Sabbath's. I haven't had a pair of Vans boots since 1998 (skate shoes on the other hand, at least 3+ pairs a season) but from what I can recall, my old Vans boots were killer......
