Default Magna Traction

So im thinking of getting the 2013 lib tech skate banana 156. My main reason for putting this about the gnu space case is the magna traction, does it really make as big of a difference as people say? Help me out

Some people love it, others not so much. As far as I know there is no concrete evidence either way... Best bet is to try to demo the boards you want, and pick the one you like riding the most!

First time I rode magnatraction it blew my mind. It had a bunch more grip in a 162ish Skunk Ape vs my 166 camber Arbor A-frame.

I love the magna traction on my Banana Magic. Made a massive difference in my edge hold confidence. I actually don't want a board with out it now.

It's so dependent on conditions

Straight edge or MTX...it just needs to be sharp.

It really all depends on what you're going to use the board for. Magnetraction is nice because you almost never wash out on ice again. However, if you enjoy going fast, I wouldn't recommend it because it almost feels like there's a speed cap with magnetraction. You just can't quite go as fast. Also, if you're going for the skate banana keep in mind that they tend to be quite a bit more flexible than most boards, which is great for rails, not so much for pow.
Last thing on the skate banana: I didn't like it too much for jumps because of how flexible it was (not much pop) and I didn't like it for the half pipe because the magnetraction was no good for allowing you to float on the walls. It was super nice for trees though because of the amazing control. Mine was an older version though so maybe they're a little different. Again, it all comes down to what your looking for in your board. Hope this helps!

Correct me if I'm wrong someone but the space case and all the GNU boards also have magnetraction. GNU and Libtech are both part of Mervin manufacturing and share most of the same tech.

Exactly this.
Both boards have magnatraction.
Different camber profiles though.
