I just started boardin last year when all I used was rental equipment. In the off season I bought my own stuff, (gnu 11 up board, missin bindings, burton boots). What difference should I expect 1st time out on my own stuff? Espically seeing all the rental stuff was clip in vs thestrap in new stuff?

I think he means step-in.
Expect a bit more response from strap-ins. I used clip ins once and they were awkward because the rental boots were flimsy. Other than that, everything should fit a lot better and things will seem easier if you're like me. Rental stuff wasn't sized right (I had no idea since I was new). I'm 6'3 180 and they gave me a 172 to start on, on Indiana crud. Thanks! EDIT: By the way, they gave me that board length because it came up to my mouth. Yet another reason I hate that method for determining board length. It handled like a river barge. Last edited by Flick Montana; 12-04-2008 at 02:53 PM. |
