I need to find a board and bindings for my lady. She's about the same skill level as me (noob), and interested in all mountain riding like myself. What boards are good for the ladies out there? Does it matter to get a women's board, or could I get a men's board just at the right "smaller" size? So far the boards that have caught my eye are the rome vinyl and the burton feather.
i just got a NeverSummer Infinity-R, haven't used it yet. im also new, have been using my friends feather, she learned on it, and i started on it, and it felt fine to me for a beginner board. seems like a lot of people at all skill levels really like the vinyl though, more so than the feather.
ok cool. I'm trying to spend like 170 on a board and like 70-100 on bindings for each of us. This means hopefully getting like last years model of boards and used bindings. We'll see though, I'm going to be helping set up the snow sale here today. I'll take pictures and make a post about it tonight.
I'll look up the infinity R also.
But is it OK using a mens board (a small one) for a woman rider?
i mean, i've been told to get a women's board just becuase they are made for women for a reason, they are generally a bit lighter and narrower. i have heard a lot of good things about the vinyl, and snowolf raves about the atomic fallen angel, i would have definately checked that out if i didn't want magnetraction for the ice so bad, you can get a really good deal on last years model too...so you should definately check them out.
I only know one lady board, the Rome Blue. Not sure if it is good or not, but the girl who rode it liked it. Also, most companies have women's bindings as well. I think they are made for calves that are built differently as well so they may be more comfortable.
