i was looking at a board today and these are the ratings. how the heck do you read them???

I read that as a durable park board. Looks like 1 is the low rating and 5 is high. They rate it a 5 on kickers, boxes, and rails. It's got a 1 stiffness rating, 2 in carve, 1 in stability, 2 in edgehold so it doesn't seem like a freeride/all-mountain board.

If it's a 1-5 low-high as I think it is, then this would be a park board, great for jibs and butters. Probably wouldn't perform well on steeps and pow from the ratings provided.

No, the number reflects how many people have given it that rating.

i.e. 5 people (out of however many people) agree that it is good on boxes and rails
