Boards too long?? - Snowboarding Forum

I know, i know, there are plenty of posts regarding not choosing snowboards based on height. However I'm short guy at 5'3" and 130 lbs. Would a 150-152 cm board be "too long"? I would probably rate myself as just begginner/intermediate and mostly freeride down the slopes.

No I dont think its too long. I rode a 162 for my firt day ever snowboarding and I did pretty fricken good. And Im 5'9 155-160. But Im in no way a pro at snowboarding or giving advise. I currently have a 154 that Ive ridden once and love. Not near as cruise ship feeling in the turns. Hope this helps.

If you're not brand new, that board probably won't give you any trouble. Especially if you stick to the mountain. You'll be ok.

That length should be perfect for beg/int soft boot freeriding.

Allright, I am 6'1" and 150lbs. I like all-mountain/frestyle riding. What would be the perfect board size for me;(158)?

Deciding to go 148ish cm again.

Any inputs between these following boards?:

07/08 Lib Tech TRS MTX 148cm
07/08 Never Summer System 147cm
07/08 Never Summer EVO 148cm

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for all the help so far.

You will be fine ..im 5 5' 130ish and rode a 151 last year for freeriding, and will again this year since i dont have much interest in park...maybe some jumps but no park..
