Are you going to ride mainly in WI?

Where you at? I am in Milwaukee.

For $550....I would get an 08 Uninc 160 ($200-$250) Uninc EST's ($150-$250)...but that is me and what I like to ride.

a few questions

experience?
Park, freestyle, back country?
WI, East coast, Rockies, ect?
What are you riding now?
What do you like or dislike about it?

Weight, boot size?

yeah i'm in WI, but we head out west at least once a season. I'm all mountain but I don't specifically do park (nor am I good enough to). Don't have a board now. I'm at like 175 weight and a 10.5 boot.

at 175 (mainly groomers)...I would look into the 156-161 range. If you are going to use something like solomon for boots then you should look iton a mid-wide board about 254-260 waist with. If you are going to go with a smaller foot print boot, you could go with a normal width board.

I would look into something from last year or something slightly used. Your first board takes some abuse. Is there any brand or board you have seen that you like?

Gnu Carbon High Beam MTX 156 or 159 ($400) with Rome Arsenal bindings ($180).

You can probably get better pricing, but regardless, this is a very good starting combo that you don't have to replace as soon as you start getting better.

I'd probably start with the 156.
