i had last years kink and loved it perfect in the park and really wasnt all that bad around the mountain. dont know about your bindings never used them. try the ride beta or burton cartel's. but if your trying to get into the park still give the kink a try it will hold up all season with lots of room to progress

The Kink is good, but the Contrabands need lots'o'work. If you want Rides, you'd be better off with Delta's or Beta's. For non-Rides I really recommend Union Contacts for the park. They are pretty cush and comfy. If you want the speed, K2 Auto's or actually some Salomon SPX45's. The Salomon toe strap arrangement does actually improve stap-in time.

What size did he buy you? This is a total park jib setup, I would suggest getting at least a 158 all mountain freeride board for your weight. I weigh 200 as well and ride a Never SUmmer SL-R which is just awesome for my weight it can handle speed.. this board is supposed to be very flexy for jibbing.
