Default 154 or 156 Burton Dominant

I currently ride an older 154 Burton Custom. I want a softer board (decided on Dominant). I don't know if I should stick with 154 or go 156. I'm 5'10" 160 lbs. Any opinions or experiences? Thanks.

You could do either. Go bigger if you ride mountain and smaller if you ride park. I don't think 154 to 156 is enough of a change to warrant a new board entirely.

It's not the really the siZe that is driving the purchase. Instead, I want a softer board. Since the custom isn't centered and the dominant is I'm jus wondering about the length and what's appropriate.
