I'm buying my first board soon and I have no idea what kind, brand or size to get. I'm a 18 year old girl and I'm decent at snowboarding but it'd still say I'm a beginner. I weigh 130 and I'm 5'8. I was thinking of a burton.... any suggestions?

I can't speak from personal experience, but I knew a girl who rode a Rome Blue and really liked it. You might consider them.

the helpful and kind people of this forum (Flick) told me to do some demo-ing to figure out what kind of board I want (I'm in the same situation as you). Where do you usually go to snowboard?

aside from demoing, i'd suggest you do some research & read up on the different boards that are out there so you can learn a bit about them, which can only help you make a more informed choice in the end.

also, check out the reviews on other sites such as Shred Betties: Women's Snowboarding Magazine and those reviews are done by people who have demoed the boards & know what they are talking about.

the other thing is deciding what type of board you want...freestyle or freeride, directional or twin.

there's more to buying a snowboard than "hey, what type of board should i get?"

as for what size, i'm going to go out on a limb here (since i myself am not insanely educated as some others are) and say you'll need about a 150, maybe a 152? can i get an amen on that from someone?
