Stones for smoothing edges?

Ok, so seems like the consensus is to remove burrs with diamond stone and smooth out with gummy stone.

If I have diamond files (300 grit)

and like a knife sharpening stone

The files look a little weird cause they look rounded. that may make it harder to tune the edge properly. I've always used diamond files like these ones from amazon, Amazon.com: DMT W7EFC Diamond Whetstone Mini Diamond Stone - Coarse / Fine / Extra-Fine: Home Improvement.

I never even really use the gummy stone that came with my waxing iron cause the finest stone that comes in that set is about 1300 grit and the coarse one is around 350 grit.

If you have a little extra money those diamond stones on amazon are perfect for tuning edges in my opinion because you can then use them in file guides too so you dont have to free hand it.
