Melting rub on wax onto a board? - Snowboarding Forum

I ride a Ride DH from last season and it looks like it needs a wax before I hit the slopes tomorrow. I dont have any hot waxes but this wax looks pretty much the same to me. This is what I have
DaKine High Octane Rub-On Wax at REI.com

Anyone think this will work? I cant really see any serious risk in it. Anyone have any opinions?

Don't bother. It will last maybe a run or two.

thats designed for an on the hill application. its not intended as a maintenance coat of wax for the season
