Default DC Gizmo's First Impression....

Just picked up a set of DC Gizmo's for my upcoming trip to Park City next week. Originally, I was going to get Nike Kaiju's from a friend that works at Nike but he fell through. So, I chose these boots based on a review from "The Good Ride". It was considered one of their "low cost favorites" and I really liked the color scheme since my gear is black and orange.

I put them on yesterday and I was really impressed how comfortable they were. The fleece lining in the boot were soft and very warm from what I can tell. The half boa on the bottom was great because it allowed me to tie the laces on the top first, tighten the boa and then retighten the top. My foot is pretty skinny so it's nice to be able to get such a good tight fit. I've never had BOA and my previous pair of boots were Burton Moto's from 2007. I'd like to think these boots are a significant upgrade.

Here's a few pics of them:

Totally disappointed!!!!!

Today is Day 5 and just before going on the mountain, I busted a wire on the BOA system. I took it to a local shop and they couldn't fix it. So now I have to return them to see if they can be fixed.

Really bummed.

They couldn't fix it? or wouldn't? Was it just a busted wire.

On the plus side, they look really cute with your pants.

They couldn't figure out how to release the BOA knob to get to the wire. Most Boa's have a small hole in the center, but this knob doesn't.

Glad you like that they matched. I use the word "cute" to describe girls but if you think so, more power to you. I guess that's a Swiss thing.

No, I was actually joking about the cute thing because I don't give a fuck about matching when I'm snowboarding, which might be a Swiss thing.
