Default Flow Lotus Boa opinions?

I'm looking to piece together a full setup for my daughter while things are on the cheap. She's only been once, so a total beginner. I figure she'll do about 6 trips a year, she's in college so is pretty busy.

Anyway, I found these on ebay for like $75. Any reason not to get them? They are 2013 left overs.

NEVER buy boots without trying them on. If they were from an online store with a good return policy, I'd say go for it. But don't buy boots off eBay, unless you've tried them on, you'll be stuck with them if they don't fit right.

Normally I 100% agree, but these are so cheap that if they don't fit I can flip them and probably lose $20 bucks. It's not like when she rents they go through some super fitting session other than 'what size are you' and they throw you a pair of boots that have been heat formed to fit the last person who rented them and not you for the first hour.

If you're okay with reselling them, then I see no reason not to. Sounds like a great deal!

I'm with Thredjack on this one!!!!!

They might be cheap but I reckon it kinda defeats the purpose of buyin ya own gear?????

For example, a free plastic bag can save dollars and keep the snow off you, but will it be as comfortable as a proper fitting breathable jacket?????

When someone purchases their gear, I'll always recommend a pair of properly fitted boots with the right flex, over any other piece of equipment as their first buy!!!!!

Then followed by Gloves and Outerwear!!!!!

Board/Binders come in as pretty much last on the list!!!!!

The main reason why hire boots feel okay is they're soft flexing and mostly that packed out, that they're actually comfortable to wear!!!!! As for being practical to use on an ongoing basis?????
