'09 Ride Jackson Boa Coilers - should i get them?

I've tried on tons of boots and have narrowed it down to the '09 Jackson Boa Coilers by Ride. The reason being is that i feel they are the most comfortable boot i have ever tried and i love the ease and speed of taking them on and off. My only concern is the boa coiler system. How dependable is it? Will the wires freeze or snap or rip through the leather?

Does anyone knows anything about boa coilers? i'd really appreciate your opinions
