Hey,
I recently bought a pair of Burton Casa boots. The liners have these weird bumps on the inside - like ankle supports or something? Anyways, those bump/support things really hurt my ankles. On the inside part of my feet, right around the ankles it's swollen, red and raw looking (like if I had a rash and scratched it a lot). It's pretty painful, and I only wore my boots for about 4 hours today. The boots are the right size and I didn't have them too tight, so I know it's not caused by the boot. I had medium to thick socks on and I had this problem before when I wore my boots, but it wasn't this bad. So I'm wondering if it is possible to buy just the liners for Burton boots? Any suggestions where I could find some? Thanks! |

Those are called J-bars. On some models those are simply velcro'd on the outside and are removable. I don't know about your boots, but it's worth taking the liner out and looking.

It's not a liner issue it's a lack of heel/arch support pull the stock insole out find one that elevates the heel up and puts those padded areas around your ankle bone instead of on it. If that doesn't work it's an actual fit issue, after that then it becomes a liner issue and you might just need to slice the outside of the liner in that area hit it with a heat gun for a few seconds pluck out some foam, then put a piece of duct tape over it.
