Are my boots too small?

So I started snowboarding a few months ago and I picked up a pair of new ish Burton Invaders that are size UK 8 (since I'm in UK). I also got given a pair of old Joyrides that are also size 8. I went boarding the other day in the Burtons and i noticed that my little toes on my right foot (front foot) became numb quickly and hurt a bit. The Joyrides feel like a much better fit, but I don't know if thats because they have packed out a bit over the years and the Burtons havent? Should I keep riding in the Burtons and hope they pack out or are they too small?

In my experience of buying 3 pairs of boots that are now too large for me, they will pack out. After two outings my current boots were great, 5 outings later they are way too big lol.

They probably aren't too small, they are too narrow. Might need to look into burton ruler wide, or salomon dialogue/synapse wide
