Burton tributes size 12 - seems much bigger - Snowboarding Forum

i have a pair of size 12 (US) burton tribute boots. i cant take a picture of them now, but i think these boots are the same. http://images.proboardshop.com/burt-...wt-08-prod.jpg

the strange things about these boots is that although they are size 12, they seem much bigger. for example, my friend uses size 13 burton boots with his burton custom bindings XL. we traded boards for a while and i couldnt close the bindings over my boots, even though they were one size smaller.

im pretty new to snowboarding so im not sure if maybe these boots are for a different type of snowboard (freestyle, all-mountain, etc)?
