Default HELP! Boot decision trouble!

So in the size of boots i know to get about a half size smaller because boots pack out. I know they are not going to be comfortable at first because they have to be broken in. But how do you decide if a boot is comfortable or not when they are not even broken in? I have been snowboarding for a while and i have gone through a couple of boots, but i always buy them to big and they get super packed out. I want a boot to fit really really well and snug, but comfortable.

In terms of fit you want your toes to be brushing up on the inside of the liner/front when you stand.

When we say very snug, we're talking about a tight fit with no heel lift but also no pressure points anywhere on your feet. Any "hot spots" on your feet will be way worse after a day of riding. Walking around the shop with them for awhile is the best bet, at least 15 minutes. If they aren't comfortable enough in the shop they won't work on the slopes.
