Default Thought boots were waterproof?

A friend has my boots so I had to rent a pair this week, the mountain gave me a pair of flow answers, as everyone else who rented in my group. After a few runs my foot was completly soaked, all my friends were complaining about the same thing. It was warm but there is a huge difference between sweating and just plain water soaked.

This a known problem with this boot or were they just abused as time has gone on.. I have rented in the past w/out this problem though.

Weird. It's almost sounds like the rental shop didn't want to sink 8 times as much money into high end equipment for beginners to abuse.

Weirder yet, given that all rental places no doubt stock the same exact equipment.

Very. You poor soul.

The only logical course of action for you to recover from the devastating trauma and life-long mental scarring of wet feet is to demand your money back. I'm sure they'll see the error of their ways when you lay out a well-formed argument like you have in this thread.

Cmon I'm no slacker already done that. Next time they said they will have boots that are "8" times better.

Joking aside, it's going to be a combination of rental quality, which is similar to military intelligence, and warm wet snow. If there's a broken seam in the top somewhere you'll get wet quick. Very few things in this world are 100% "waterproof" and being frequently abused boots is the reason.
