So lost on boots...

Have tried out a few different boots and still have not found anything I'm in love with.

Tried some

Ride Insanos - was already hurting my ankle in the store, pass.

K2 Maysis - Wasn't bad but was a half size too big, they didn't have my size, don't want to order half a size down and find out it doesn't work.

K2 Ryker - Worked ok but had a bit of heel lift, which I am very particular to since I am very uncomfortable with toe side even with perfect boots. If my heel isn't planted firm I do not want.

32 STW - Fit wasn't bad, cramped my toes abit but might have been ok when they packed abit. Tried on a 9, but my foot sizes to an 8-8.5, so they may have been the wrong size as well.

At this point, I'm a little lost and not sure where to go. I was trying to find a shop to try on the DC Judge, but can't find anywhere that has it in store.

Thoughts? Advice?

Keep trying on different brand boots and different models of those boots. Don't go with the US sizes, Go with the MONDO sizing, It should be in cm's which never lie. A size 8 DC is going to be a different size 8 in a Burton.

Same, I have a pair of salomon boots. They are a bit pricey, but the comfort and warmth make up for that.

And when your buying boots, buy a half size smaller than your actual size because the boots are going to pack out from all the use. Your toes should not be overly cramped at the top, but they should still touch the top part of the boot. After a few days of riding, they will fit perfect.

Is it too early to start looking? All the shops seem to have such a tiny inventory, nothing in my size. Then I realized maybe it's too early, I have no real idea of when 'the season' starts.
