Boot Squeak.....grrr
 

Does the squeaking soung EVER go away in boots? I have a new pair of burton hail's, and at first i thought it was the crunching of the snow, but the boots just squeak so much and loudly! Is there a way to prevent squeak, even though there are so many areas in the boot that can cause it (removable liner+large boot makes for a lot of squeak) I'm sure somebody else must have this problem!

they probably just need to be broken in

Yeah it should go away after a while, but some boots do it more than others. If it really bothers you that much you can lube them up with some vaseline where the material is rubbing together.

My F20s still squeak after a season and a half. I don't even notice it any more.

you'll get used to it, and on the hill i doubt you'll even hear it or care when you're looking down at powder fields
