Worried about my boots...

Picked up a pair of Ride Insanos today, size 8.5. They feel fine now, but I'm worried they will pack out and be too big. They're a little snug, but I have a teeny, tiny bit of heel lift in them, not enough to worry about. I pulled out the insole of the liner and my foot lines up just about perfectly, with my big toe right at the front edge. They are surprisingly easy to get in and out of, don't have to wrestle the boot onto my foot. They didn't have an 8 to try on and for the price (150) I picked them up. Now I am thinking they will pack out too large and I should return them for an 8. Thoughts?

If you have a bit of heel lift now but the boots feel a bit snug, you may just have a boot that doesn't work for you. You shouldn't have any heel lift at all and the boot should fit a tiny bit snug.

I say return them and keep shopping but what do I know

Yeah after wearing them around the house for an hour or two my feet started tingling.. and when I loosen them up to where I have good circulation, they are too loose. The longer I wore them the less I like them.

Damnit, this is the last piece of equipment that I need.

I have 2 pairs of boots that I currently really like.

I like them a lot while riding.

If I wear them around the house, I experience the same tingling. I think that actually riding in the boots, causes them to loosen up a bit.

I wear a size 10.5 to 11 shoe. My ride FULs that I actually love, are a size 10. They fit pretty snugly.

Did you get your boots heat molded? Where are you feeling pressure? I ended up customizing my ride boots quite a bit before I got them to fit just right. But I love them now.

What you really should be worried about is the phylon sole falling apart by the end of the season.
