Any brands to avoid.

So my girlfriend wants to get me new boots for xmas.

My last pair of boots were K2. I have had them for years and they are still look good but they are just too packed out now.

I don't know where to start with boots so I figured I would ask if there are any brands I should avoid?

Thanks for your help.

So many runs so little time.

Intuition liners. Try 'em before you/she buy 'em.

I despise all DC gear. In any shape and form, the stuff seems like junk to me. But to each his own. The more gear you try the more you'll get a love/hate relationship with each brand.
