Hi,
I'm having a hard time deciding between these two models (New Balance 580 vs. 32 Prime). Does anyone has any experience with one of the models (or better, with both) and could note the goods and bads about them? I'm basically looking for a stiff durable boots that would be good for all-mountain riding. I have Vans Hi Standard for about 4 seasons and I love them, mainly because it has a stitched sole (not just glued) and the boots is super durable (even though it's pretty flexible). I couldn't find any boot with stitched sole today so those two models seem to be the closest for being quite durable and fit the bill. Would appreciate some help and advice on this one. Thanks |

I just got the 686 / New Balance 790's and so far they are great for a cheaper boot. I have ridden them 4 times this season so far (BC, Canada!). The 580's are probably even better. They seemed great. I find the 790's comfortable, supportive, warm enough, and seem like they will be durable. I'm really excited about the 686 boots. Next time I get boots I may just get a higher end pair of 686s. I'm a believer.
I like that they fit a little wider than some other brands too, particularly Vans. I have wider feet, so this works well for me. But 32's fit on the wider side too. |
