I will be doing some outside public relations at our local ski hill and don't want to wear my snowboard boots. Looking for a nice hiking boot perhaps? Needs to keep my feet warm for a good few hours at least.

Snowboard boots are gonna be warmer because of the liner. You can get winter hiking boots, but the insulation is what will keep your feet warm standing around. An insulated hiking boot is gonna be more $$. Get super on sale cheapo noodle snowboard boots.
