Hi Everyone - really need some help here. My son will be 16 in two weeks. Loves to snowboard, but has grown out of his boots, well and everything else. He's 6' 1/2" and about 170 lbs. I bought him size 15's for Christmas, too small. I only found one pair of boots in a size 16 and those are Ride Bigfoots (nice name). Anyway, I asked about bindings and they suggested a Ride LX series or EX series in an XL would probably work for a size 16 boot, along with buying a wide board. Any suggestions? He's offered to go back to skiing but I would rather see what we can find for him for snowboarding first. Thank you!

You located in PDX? Go get fitted somewhere like US Outdoor. And get him fitted into the smallest boot possible for him. Look at Burton's since they have shrinkage tech so he could be fitted into a smaller size boot.
And by too small are they to narrow or does his toes not fit at all? You want the boots to fit a bit tight because most are going to pack out around half a size after wearing them. But go to a boot fitter and they will help you out and mold the liners as well. |
