Default really need help/advice for foot pain

hey guys,

i experience alot of pain on the outside of my leading foot, a little after i strap in or during my first runs. I have to stop, or even take my boot off a few times to rest before my foot is all sweet for the rest of the day.

Ive tried loosening my boot and bindings, wear the thinnest socks etc etc but i cant seem to figure out a cure for the cramp-like pain i receive.

I know custom footbeds could be a good option, but i want some feedback if anyone had the same experience. My feet are kind of flat, which im wondering if im leaning too much pressure on the outside of my foot, against the boot and binding which is causing the pain.

any help greatly appreciated

ive gotten that too.. after awhile does it subside? for me it was just my boot being too tight. you said you tried that so maybe you just have a bad fitting boot.

It goes away when I rest it after a few runs and breaks then it's sweet for the rest of the day but it's not a sacrifice worth settling for, as the pain becomes unbearable and annoying stopping all the time in that period

I've been having similar pains in my outer edge of my leading foot. It's almost like it is on the very outer part of the bottom of my foot. Do you think this could be from my angles? Would you rec trying to go wider or closer together? I also have 3 yr old burton rulers which have been fine except for this one spot, could it be that they are just packed out from 75+ days in them?

For me it was the width being too narrow and not having enough leverage to go heel side fast enough with a rocker camber hybrid board. I added little bit of forward lead to the front which helped.

I have experienced that. its probably when you first put on your boots, they are like cold and your feet are also very dry. so after a couple of runs your feet start to swell due to sweat so are the boots material. so you take the boots off and put them back on and tighten again this time the laces are loose enough not to feel weird again.

I have the same problem. I found an article online somewhere that talks about an artery and nerves that run down behind you ankle bone. It basically said if that is getting restricted by boot or tightening the bindings that it can cause pain in that location. If you look up the anatomy of an ankle you can see what its talking about. I think I'm going to try widening my stance a little next time out to see if it helps.
