Burton Malolo - Snowboarding Forum

So word on the street is that the Burton Malolo is a money powder board.

Any truth to that?

Supermodel yes...but the fish not so much. The Fish is an absolute super awesome board if all you plan to ride backcountry deep powder all day long. It handles ok on groomers and the occasional patch of medium deep powder. I'd say stick with the malolo

The Fish LTD was on Brociety or one of the S&C sites for $315. It took a lot of self control not to get it...

For POWDER the Burton sequence is (best to "worst") Fish (3 cm taper) - Malolo (2 cm taper) - Supermodel (1 cm taper). Reverse that order for how they perform on groomers.

Supermodel is NOT better than the Fish or Malolo in pow.
