My friend is thinking about buying a Burton Jussi 2009 for all mountain mostly not much park, and he intends to do simple jumps and such. Has anyone rode that board and if so can someone give me a review on it.

It's been carefully calibrated to compensate for the added toeside weight of Jussi's giant ginsu teeth. That boy can bite a steel I-beam in half.

Interestingly enough, Ron Jeremy also benefits from the Jussi's build.

The Jussi board back in 2004 was a stiffer Custom with a faster base. He uses the 159 for backcountry jumps, so its probably going to be stiffer, and from what I remember it's a narrow board, with a directional flex and shape. - not sure how much its been changed over the years though.

I like Jussi a lot. I'm sure his board will do everything your friend will need it to do. At the same time, there are a lot of other good alternatives to Burton in general.

Oh i know, but he likes burton stuff and he just bought his Jussi for 40% off so for him it was a good deal. He had a lamar board before so i believe this is a nice upgrade for him lol

Definitely. There is a lot of Burton animosity and I can see why. At the same time, I owned three Burton Balances back in the day and I loved them. I moved on, but that's not to say that Burton doesn't still make good gear. A lot of people say they are only in business because of good marketing, but I don't think that alone could keep them afloat. Their products can be overpriced, but they still make quality boards for sure.

I'm sure your friend will love that board.
