Burton Ruler and K2 Auto Ever brief review
So after adjusting/setting up my board at the local golf course, I finally got to ride on my setup yesterday for 5 hours straight at Mountain Creek, NJ. I'll tell you this, going from rentals to your own ride is like night and day.
I'll start with the Burton Rulers. Easy as hell to lace up and unlace! As you can see from the inner boot you pull the lace to tighten and slide down the yellow piece to lock. That's it. The outer boot pull both laces 90 degrees to tighten, pull laces parallel to leg to lock, tuck in handles on side. It's that simple. For me packing in took about 4 hours of straight riding. After that I had to retighten.
K2 Auto Evers on a 2009 Salomon Answer 163 ($150 on ebay!) So many differnt adjustments. Canted footbeds, set and forget toe strap, etc. Once I got the toe strap set right all I had to do was tighten the ankle strap and the toe automatically tightens! Everything is so light too that it was even easy for a noob like me to pop and get a little air time. It was all money well spent.
Damn, forgot I did a review on my gear! Can't wait to get back on it soon!
