I just called burton and they're sending me a free set of pre-2011 EST mounting hardware, and a free set of medium toe straps because the large ones i have are maxing out... Just figured it might help others to know that their warranty is awesome. I don't have to send them anything either!
Disclaimer: I'mm not a burton fanatic, i'm just posting a review of a service. |

I have a pair of 09/10 Cartels. I definitely like these bindings, but like everything else there are pros and cons. The highback adjuster will pop out when riding sometimes, it sucks, but its not catastrophic. I've also gone through a couple of buckles due to failure, but customer service just hooks me up and sends me out new ones when I need them. They also sent ladders and other hardware. Service is good, but when you're mass producing products and you can't QC very good, you're bound to get crappy products here and there. I remember 3-5 years ago, burton bindings were the hottest thing...oh well, service is good, and I've yet to have some sort of catastrophic failure.

I am a fan, but not a fanatic... There's a difference. I like burton's stuff, but I'm very much open to other companies if they have something better. If i was a fanatic, I wouldn't consider anything else. That's what i meant by that comment.

ive purchased a 2010 custom vrocker last summer new on sale for $300 and ive experience a surface crack this season and ive sent it back and they gave me a choice to choose from the new line of boards on the site. i chose the 2011 burton custom flying v a $530 value for no extra cost and hassle free.

This is good to know because the toe straps on my Lexa bindings are dying a slow death and I've been hesitant to contact Burton about the warranty on them. I was expecting that they would ask me to send back the bindings or at least the defective part(s) and I didn't want to miss out on any snow time because of it. Hopefully I'll have the same experience as you. *crossing my fingers*
