I'll label this as fact #1

Multiple semi pros, who are seemingly unrelated to any of the companies test each product, on different days in different conditions. There ARE differnet conditions on the different days of the testing, read a blog.

The consensus amongst the 450-- ya that's right, 450, riders. The fact that the majority of those 450 thought it was award-worthy means something. How can you negate that fact? HA.

And Vol, you hinted in your post that the conditions in the midwest stay the same, if you didn't mean that then i appologize and you are not ignorant.

Ummm, you realize that Transworld was actually paid to give good reviews to said companies boards?

Not all of their boards, but at least a few. Buy off is a buy off. The test is worthless.

I bet you believe everything Obama and Boehner say too.

Basically you seem to be an industry stooge who backs up his opinion from one source.

Again you need to look at fact #1.

The test was done at Mammoth this year over 1 week while the WCI was going on it featured 127 models from 28 manufacturers and featured something like 35 riders. I really want to know where you get your facts. Also if you're going to argue with me you should probably know I have numerous friends that have ridden in that test and said it's a complete joke they take the board do 1 run put some numbers and notes on a little piece of paper and go right back up to repeat the loop. I guess we know who suffers from a case of ignorance.

Climbz-- Show me where it says industry pays for good reviews. That's a pretty bold statement to make...

Avenger-- I saw 450 but it was boards not people. TWSnow. My bad on that one.
How do you think data is taken by other industries? Surveys are taken. Surveys are not always accurate, there is a margin of error, but it is the only way to step somewhat into the direction of collecting a consencus. It's the only board testing process done in the industry as far as i know, how can it not mean something? It doesn't matter if 27 riders or 10 riders come to a conclusion on voting a certain board to be better than X board.

I am not saying that Good Wood means everything, but compared to not having a test, and not having any data, it sure as hell means something. Not trying to argue, just trying to say that any data collection has meaning.

This is priceless. I saw good wood at Breck for the 09/10 gear. I actually think they weren't even there a whole week that year, I wanna say it was like three days. You BUY magazine awards. Maybe YOU should read a blog or two. Are you just new at this or do you work for someone with money in Goodwood or some EasyLoungin ex-BurtonChatboard hack looking for an e-Fight? Please leave, or educate yourself. Either one.
