Yeah right...

I should be selling it for more than I am but I suppose it's too late now...

Anyway, I've already got a buyer lined up in Canada who's supposed to be checking with Canadian Customs about import taxes and whatnot and either buy it or pass on it today.

If the guy from Quebec passes, I have another buyer lined up who will buy it immediately.

Both of these buyers are happy and eager to pay my asking price.

LOL @ $150 shipped. This is a sick snowboard. The new ones retail at $600-650. I imagine that PATKOUG has the original receipt so you still get the full factory warranty, too.

PATKOUG, I think the import taxes would just be the standard gst/pst use taxes, so as long as the item is declared at value of $180 or whatever, buyer would be paying normal cdn taxes. (Not 100% positive about this, but if you find out, could you post the info here for everyone's benefit )

BOARD HAS BEEN SOLD TO KEVIN/GINGERBEAR IN CANADA AS OF JANUARY 18, 2010.

Here's the deal:

I'm sending the board from SoCal via UPS and insuring it at a value of $200 US Dollars. The quote from UPS was for about $50 US Dollars from US zip/postal code 90620 to Canadian zip/postal code J5A 2R5. Since this board was manufactured in Vermont USA, Canadian Customs states that only the normal/standard gst/pst use taxes will apply and, at $200, these should amount to about $10.

THAT IS ALL.

Kevin/Gingerbear can correct me if I have misstated anything...

UPDATE:

I just dropped off the board at the UPS Store. Because I cut up a small/medium cardboard box which I wrapped around the board's edges and tips for additional padding/protection before putting it back into the box that sierrasnowboard originally shipped it to me in, it weighed 12 pounds. It measured 63" X 15" X 3" and cost $42.93 US Dolllars to ship and should take about a week to arrive as long as there are no problems with Canadian Customs.

Yeah, ya know, you're absolutely right: nothing ventured--nothing gained.

I ain't mad at ya.

Maybe my sarcasm came off like I was being a dick but that was not my intent.

I've lowball'd people before and I certainly don't think that there's anything criminal about it but, come on, my price was already 70% off of retail...

That's why I responded with sarcasm.

I did it without even thinking about it.

No worries.

No harm--no foul.

Take care Joey.

GOOD PRICE... MORE LIKE GREAT PRICE!

Yeah, most of the time in this world when something seems too good to be true--it usually is: TOO good to be true that is. MEANING: UNTRUE.

But every once in a while, you come across something that's really good and actually IS true.

When this happens, you've got to recognize it for what it is and you gotta act decisively or miss out.

well everyone who didn't get the board, keep your eye on this forum. I've got the same board & if I can find a suitable, similar replacement deck in the near future in a 159-160 length that won't break the bank, I'll be posting mine for sale here, too.
