Default Shipping???

Any input on shipping? General cost, methods. I read somewhere that you can ship a snowboard for around $30 but I ran some estimates on the sites and they all came back like $60+.

I'm trying to buy a snowboard + bindings from somebody on here and just looking for suggestions on how to pack it, where to go to get it the cheapest.

I've shipped boards UPS and Fed EX before. Generally board alone runs $25-$35 to ship, depending on location. Add in bindings (which for packaging purposes are typically easier to pack separate) and you've got an additional $10-$20. As for packing, I've just saved packaging from boards I've bought online (for myself and others) and used that, but worst case is the board can be packed with a large sheet of cardboard folded into an "envelope" of sorts. Bindings just ship in original box or something similar sized.
