i'm in somewhat urgent need for bindings, but i'm on a budget so i'd like something used or a year old model. i started out on the noob choice of burtons...but have come full circle and started desiring rome 390s (fiiiine). problem is i'd like to stay around a 100 or under.

so, does anyone have any leads on used/old model bindings? size is large.

I'm selling a pair of Sims Recoil bindings for cheap. One year old, but they're not very high-end bindings.

Aluminum base w/ nice thick strap padding and plastic ratchets. One year old, no problems. I can let 'em go for $50+ shipping.

which Burton's did you buy? They're higher-end bindings are some of the best in the biz man... not so much they're boards anymore, but they're still good for bindings and boots.

i might be interested in the sims..i'd like to hear what you/the community has to say about them.

as for the burtons, i didn't actually purchase any. i meant that i started out desiring a pair, but have been swayed by how expensive they are (i'd like cartels or missions), and by other people's opinions. i guess if i got a great deal on missions or cartels i'd still go with them.

Well, I'm not in a jam to sell them, so I'll be perfectly honest:

I've found these bindings to be a great deal. They've got a metal heel brace (not el-cheap-o plastic) so they'll last, I think the baseplate is aluminum too...iono, but its very tough. All last season and a couple times this season they've never let me down, and they have a decently high high-back (which I like). highback forward lean adjustment can be done w/o tools, as can the strap settings. they have a cover to cover over the screws that sits flush, so they don't jam up with snow.

One thing is that they have plastic wratchets, so they can freeze up on you, but only on REALLY cold days. I was in tremblant this year and experienced that first hand, but we're talking -30deg C weather. Last night I used 'em and it was -15C w/ no issues. If they do 'freeze' just slightly lift the wratchet as if tightening (don't actually tichten it more), then flip the clip and it comes undone.

That being said, I plan on upgrading to Cartels, cuz I want the toe cap. Personally I don't think Burton makes anything really special, but their toe cap feature on their bindings is the shizznit. You can get other brands with that, but I think Burton has the best ones.
