Vintage NOS Burton Air Bindings and Vintage Burton Air 6 board

Hi there:

Don't mean to barge in here without an introduction. I'm a longtime skateboard collector which is my area of expertise so a little out of the loop on vintage snowboard gear.

I have a set of NOS Burton Air bindings as fresh and neon as the day they were made. Also the matching Burton Air 6 board. Never been used warehoused all these years immaculate condition. Very good mint example of the era.

I'm going to list it on the 'Bay but thought I'd give you guys a heads-up first. I'll post some pics tonight but will listen to any offers from here first.

Thanks

Vintage boards and equipment usually sell for next to nothing. I don't think there's a big collectors market for snowboarding equipment at the moment.

Ok thanks for the reply, I know of a few guys who collect vintage equipment in Europe, hence me asking on here. I thought there was a retro scene over there in the US too

Gotcha gotcha, that's actually pretty cool they have something set up. Personally, I don't have the funds to buy old equipment on a whim and I'd rather have the newest and greatest, but I'm sure they definitely get points from some people for nostalgia reasons.

My personal experience is that I usually see someone trying to sell an old "mint" Burton for over a thousand before coming back a week or two later asking for around a hundred dollars. Best of luck though.

No worries I'm just a sucker for old gear especially Skate, snow whatever.
I always figure its best to offer the communities first before the Evil Bay, I've got a realistic idea of what its worth. I'll chuck some pics up anyway:

Cheers
