my nephew (13) has been out riding a few times & really wants to get more into it. he'd like to get his own board so he can go out with me & his other aunt. his mom doesn't have much money to throw down on a good set up though, so i thought i'd look around & see if i can find someone's used gear for a kind price to help this kid out!

he's a pretty big guy...almost 6 foot & 180 lbs. i'm thinking about a 158 will due for his size.

let me know if any of you have any extra gear that you don't really use anymore, that you could maybe let go for a cheap price to help another kid lay out his line! it'd be super-kynd of ya!

how big are his feet do you think? i have a pair of size 10 airwalks, my first boot, they were a bit big on me and i don't need em anymore. lemme know cus i'll gladly let em go

hmm...turns out he wears a size 12 in skate shoes. boots usually run a size or two smaller, so they may work...but maybe not.

jenn i have size 12 burton motos and large burton si bindings. i know its step in stuff but its in great shape and no matter what anyone says, i've never had problem with em. let me know if your interested.

are you trying to sell them, or would they be a kick down? and again, i'm not sure what size boot would fit him. i'm going to take him up today or tomorrow & get him sized so i at least have something to go by.

with feet that big will a regular width board be okay or is he going to need something wider?

i posted the same request up on myspace & this girl i know from festivals responded saying she's got a Salomon 161 Substance that she's barely ridden that she can let go of.

think it'd be too big for him?

now i just need to score him some bindings & boots that fit & he'll be shredding!

you guys are awesome & he's going to be so super stoked! there's no way his mom woulda/coulda pulled this off & if left to her he'd still just be wishin'.

I may have a pair of Drake MTX bindings that I could part with for cheap also. You will have to duck tape the strap on one of them until you can get drake to send you a new one. I got them to send me what I though I needed but I was wrong...I just called them again to try and get the part. If so all I would ask for is like $20 and shipping and we'd be cool
