If you don't have the item, that's fine. Sometimes mistakes happen, inventory is incorrect, midgets rip it off, whateva. Just refund the fuggin' money no questions asked, add an apology for the mistake and you are on to something. I view this policy as fraud and stealing and I will continue to warn others as long as they continue this practice. Bilking people out of their hard earned money is bullshit, and if it doesn't change I may take this to TGR and let the repercussions really hit them. How do you think the largest snow sports website out there is going to treat this? They have bankrupted more than one company.

Tightboards Exploting Their Own Customer Base
Please do I just never go on TGR because it seems to be mainly skiers. This company and their CEO are truly disingenuous to the point of fraud. He wrote me a letter apologizing months ago and said that they were going to change their policies which are borderline criminal. But they have not! And now he has some girl posting apologies all over the internet, after he did it personally months ago. This guy never had any intention of coming clean. I am sorry I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried to help him . To me he and his online operation meet the criteria of a thief. I would love to list Burton Vapors online for $400 and charge people's credit cards and then tell them I don't have anymore but they can't have their money back. I filed with the Attorney General in North Carolina and got my money back but I'm sure not everyone has the time to do that.

I will write something up. Tons of skiers on that site, but there is equally ton's of riders, skaters, plenty of customers. Plus that site is huge. Word of mouth from it alone will be 100x of what this site or sb.com generates. Maggots do not appreciate getting ripped off or their friends getting ripped off and respond in kind. Basically tightboards has 24hrs to get their site updated saying that if they don't have the product, they can backorder, swap for another item, or a FULL REFUND. I know plenty of damage has been done by sb.com and this site. Imagine what will happen when a site that has 1000x the membership gets on this.

This bit is still on your site.

I've seen a lot of SAC heads on there. They must work there. I wonder what they would have to say?

Yes some do. Phunk actually works for backcountry.com as their website manager or something like that. A few other names on that site also work for bc.com. They continue to stoke members on that site. TGR was basically ground zero for steepandcheap.

Nothing has changed... Called Carol as you suggested. They have nine complaints filed with them so far this year. They now have 10. I'll mail mine today. They "sell" products they don't have in inventory, then they will not refund your money. Only store credit. This is called bait and switch, for those of you that don't know. She said they are working on them... we'll see what happens. In the mean time I disputed my charge with the credit card company. DO NOT do business with these people under any circumstances.

Myself and a buddy of mine had our worst online merchant experiences ever dealing with Tightboards.com.
Last winter we both ordered products from this dishonest, fraudulent company, Tightboards.com. He ordered a complete setup which of course was not in stock, contrary to what the Tightboards.com web site stated. His debit card was charged immediately. After customer service representatives told him numerous times that his order had already shipped, somebody from Tightboards.com finally came clean and told him the board he ordered was never in stock and it would be another month before they would have it in their "warehouse!" After dealing with Tightboards.com for a month, with no board to show for it, he was out hundreds of dollars. As stated in other posts, he was given a store credit. However, the Tightboards.com store credit didn't match what he had already spent. As a result, he opted not to use the store credit and give Tightboards.com no more business. He then reported Tightboards.com to the Better Business Bureau.
Luckily for me, the order I placed from Tightboards.com was substantially less of a purchase than his. I ordered stickers, yes stickers. STICKERS! Tightboards.com could not even fulfill an order for stickers. I also got the run around from their so called "customer service" representatives. They gave me the same old story: "Your order has already shipped sir," "Oh, we're sorry it hasn't shipped, it will ship tomorrow," "It will ship in three days," "We don't have those stickers in stock, would you like different stickers?" Then like everyone else, they gave me a worthless store credit. What's the point of a store credit for a store that doesn't have anything?
Boardparadise.com along with Tightboards.com should be put out of business and the supposed CEO thrown in jail for flagrantly malicious business practices.
These are the new age pick pockets. Boardwalk sham proprietors of the 21st century.
It is forums such as this, that companies that practice dishonest business should be leery of. We will not standby and allow good, honest people to be taken advantage of.
I say leave the posts up, the damage has already been done. Boardparadise.com and Tightboards.com dug their own graves. It is too late for "sorry."

there has got to be some way to get these guys out of a job.
I've seen more snowboarders heartbroken over unstocked gear than any other place combined.
It gives good online snowboard shops a bad rep. Just bad in all ways.
Fuck tightboards
