Tightboards Consumer Fraud Alert
This company is selling products on their website that they know they do not have in inventory. Once they charge your card they call back and say the item was out of stock and claim they will refund you in one month. They don't. They try to force you to take a store credit. If you have had problems with this retailer call Carol at the North Carolina Attorney Generals Office of Consumer Protection 919-716-6400.

I've heard the stories too. I wouldn't buy a thing from these guys. If you are having problems with them not refunding your credit card, call you card company and dispute the charges. They will charge it back with or without tightboards approval. It's bs that they do this, so you might as well stick it to them.

Btw, seems that boardparadise owns tightboards. Based out of North Carolina. My advice, don't patronize their stores until they start acting like a real business.

I received this message from their COO today we will see if things change.
My name is Linc Anderson. I am the Chief Operating Officer for Boardparadise. I have read your comments and am very embarrassed that your experience with us was so aggravating. On behalf of Boardparadise/Tightboards.com, I would like to sincerely apologize for the negative experience you encountered with us online. We are working hard to improve our customer service and revamp our entire Return and Exchange Policies. We plan to roll out new policies as early as next week.

Good for you for taking them to task on this!
I ordered some bindings from them a few months ago as well. The bindings were a closeout deal at a very good price (last year's model). The website listed them as in stock and allowed me to purchase them. My credit card was immediately charged. Later, i read some negative comments about them so I called the customer service line. Turns out the bindings already sold out. Luckily, I was able to get through on the phone and cancel my order within 24 hours, many people say they cannot.
Their policy is that you must cancel an order within 24 hours or no refund at all. Sounds pretty shady to me. You advertise something for sale that you do not have and cannot get, immediately charge my card and refuse to refund my money? Sounds like theft to me. I'm glad you are pursuing this, I should have as well.

Funny, how bad word of mouth gets someone to take some sort of action. Not sure if it's going to make a difference, and a lot of damage has been done. Hopefully they do clean up their act, as their prices are good if they follow through with what is promised in the deal.

Yeah that just sucks. I don't have a problem with them charging my card when I order something that shows it is in stock that actually isn't. This sort of thing can happen no matter how automated. When they go to look at it and see it's not there, they should immediately credit your card back. No waiting for the customer etc. I've ran into this before and that is what the business did. If what you ordered is not in stock, then you should get your money back. A store credit is complete bullshit.
