Whistler has to be the worst place for stuff getting stolen. Too many people trusting that their bike/board in front of restaurants, stores, etc. There only has to be one person with sticky fingers that likes the way the board/bike looks and takes it as their own for profit or repaint and use for personal use. Shitty how some people's luck go.

Stealing a board is just f***ed up. Its pretty rare here in Japan at least where I board but this year I will be locking it up. Taking them from outside the medical facility is doubly f***ed up. I can see why you wouldn't lock them up there.
Hope you find them and make them pay. Stealing someone elses board as a replacement is one of the stupidest things I ever heard. Then we will all become thieves and paranoid about our boards. Maybe in 15 years we will have racks with built in locks that take your fingerprint when you put it in and thats the only way to unlock it. could be done now but the problem is the cost. |

Sounds like they need to setup more sting operations where they put mad nice gear out in tempting places for people to steal whip ending watched, have the cops nearby and bust their asses as they try and walk off. Do this for a couple monthes to filter out the local street thieves and most of your problems are easily solved

That doesn't work where I come from the last I saw of dude he was getting placed in the rear of a cop car to never be seen at the resort again. That or just get your crew together and do your own sting , leave the guy laying in a pool of his own blood and mouth full of broken teeth......problem solved.
