Hi everyone.

I'm brand new to this forum but have been using GoPros for quite a while. My name is Mike and I recently designed an organizer for GoPros and accessories. I just got tired of carrying all the pieces in a ziplock and digging through it when I needed something. Not to mention scratching lenses and loosing pieces.

I originally designed this roll up case for myself, but had people asking me where they could get one. So, I refined it and put a lot of thought and time into the design. I wanted to make sure it was well rounded for most GoPro users and met high standards of quality and functionality.

I have a Kickstarter campaign going to help make it a reality. All the details and a video are at the link below.
Let me know what you guys think!

I have one of the original Roll Pro kits. It is actually pretty handy if you have a bunch of GP shite to keep organized. :dunno:

Thanks guys!

I know what you mean. That's how the original RollPro III was born. I felt the available cases were overkill for a camera that is quite rugged, and were just too big/heavy to carry with me all the time. The RollPro III was well accepted by GoPro enthusiasts, so I'm hoping you'll dig this version too.

To make it in California with literally the highest quality material I can find, the 2012 price of $49 proved to be too little. In the end, I broke even at that price and decided to offer them on my site for $79. There are now over 4000 RollPros worldwide without a single return because of defects or quality.

I don't mean to sound all sales pitchy. It's just easier to lay down the facts and let you decide if you believe it or not. It's not easy to dream up an idea and actually make it sustainable financially; especially when it's so easy to sell out to China.

The end goal is quality. If I can't make sure that each one going out is to my standards, I'd rather not do this. China can't offer that, but making them in my home town can. Any users of the original RollPro III can attest to that. I handmade all of those myself.

I'm confused. You did a kickstarter for the original, did you spend all your money on hookers and blow?
Haha, that would be quite wasteful. I actually was able to invest in my workshop and get some cool machinery and pursue my hobbies. I took a break from Riseful for an opportunity to work at a company I love, but after a year, I couldn't conform to the corporate life, and literally quit yesterday.

Kickstarter isn't only helping me fund this next version and get back to my roots; it's validating that the RollPro Mini is something that GoPro enthusiasts actually want. If it gets funded, I will feel that Riseful is still valid and will continue trying to make cool stuff for the world.

Kickstarter is an amazing way to validate your ideas in the real world. It's trial by fire, without having to dish out a bunch of money on something that people may or may not like.

If any of you have ideas that you can't get out of your heads, give it a try. You have nothing to loose but your time and a little faith in your dream.

Sorry to ramble on. This stuff really just hits home for me. I quit my day job twice now to follow my dreams, because I believe we all must pursue the better side of ourselves and never settle for mediocrity!

Just wanted to thank you guys for the support. The RollPro Mini project has exceeded its goal and ends in 10 days! Kickstarter and its supporting backers bringing yet another dream to life :)

If you are considering a RollPro Mini, just know that this is the cheapest it will ever be. The price goes up to $79 after the Kickstarter project ends.
