I'm in Van, but I found the Palmer for really cheap. $200 with bindings.
So I'm gonna buy 2 & hopefully flip the other one so mine works out to be free.

I can't afford the outrageous prices you guys are lookin' @.

They are brand spankin' new, with a 10 year old sticker price of $750. Apparently these are sought after boards, they stopped making them in 2004.

I know there are @ least 3 if anyone wanted the other one, speak up.

There isn't a whole lot of info on this board out there on the interwebs but what you can find are people that are blown away by it.

They are all the 2002 blue & orange ones. There is however 1 other one, same model just 1 year older 2001. If they are I identical boards just different years I'm probably going to get the older 2001 model.
IMO the older one looks way better, plus it's got flames.

If you can afford those other fancy pants boards, then I would think you could probably still aford it after you picked up one of these.
@ this price how can you pass that up? Brand new, they are all 164cm. I do believe that is right around PERFECT is it not?

Thanks but I'm holding out for the fancy pants board! I spend enough on snowboarding already, not going to cheap out on the main thing I'm there to do! (no offence to the Palmer, I'm sure they're great boards! The Platinums were apparently made by Kessler or the tech was licenced from Kessler?!?

That said I'm holding out for the carbon fibre, kevlar, space age material handbuilt to my specs, fancy pants board.

Hey, that's cool. If I could afford a fancy pantser, I would in a heartbeat.
I would also grab one of these too, if you can afford the fancy pantser, you should be able too scrounge a few more bucks together & pick up one of these too.

Yeah I'm a big fan of a single board quiver though, I'll be selling my T7 with C60s if/when I get the Virus up and running the way I like. No room in my stable for two boards, even if it's a smokin deal!

I had three pairs of boots last year just trying to nail down exactly what I wanted. Once I figured it out I sold the other two...

For me I don't see how I can't afford a fancy pants board. I already spend $1300 a year on a season pass, at least that on lodging, food, etc. I think last time I added it up I spend around $5k yr on snowboarding not including my gear. Once I buy something good I like to hang onto it, so a $1000 board lasting me 5 years+ is actually cheap when you think about it.

Come on, you know you want to buy one!!! I'll hand deliver it to Van myself. I've got a buddy there that keeps inviting me to Whistler...

Well I got myself 2 of the semi fancypants boards. I think 2 semi fancypants = 1 super fancypants

Found three Palmer Titanium boards @ the ski-swap last weekend.

Pertty good deal, considering that they have a sticker price of $750 & that was ten years ago.

If I was a millionaire I would pick the super fancypants too, unfortunately I'm poor. So I have to use other methods to acquire my goodies.

Bought 3 Palmer's with bindings, for the sweet price of...dun da da dahhh... $250 cash no tax...
I had one sold for $300 three days before I even bought them.
So I made $50, just to keep these 2 brand new $800 dollar semi fancypantsters.

So my options are...
1. Make $50 & get 2 brand new boards.
2. Pay large out your ass for one.

Sorry poutanen, I'm gonna have to go with the 1st option.

I disagree with that post however and think you'll probably really enjoy the Palmers. I was searching for a Palmer Platinum a couple years ago but had no luck.

Found some Burton T6's (brand new) at the snow show in Calgary last weekend but they wanted $550 each. I asked what they were willing to do for a realiztic price and they said that's already on sale! I told them they were so far out to lunch it wasn't funny.

Nevertheless, if I make my way to Whistler this year we'll have to meet up and you can try the fancypants space aged board.

This ones not a Platinum, it's Titanium. They have on the space shuttle don't they?

For sure head out this way, I'd love to see if the fancypants is all it's cracked up to be.

You can try the Titanium, or any other board in the quiver.
Fuck, by the time you make it out here, I'm sure the quiver will be 2wice as big.

Since summer I've gone from 1 board to something like 8 or 10, I don't even know?

I think the Palmer Platinum was a $1900 board built by Kessler for Palmer (the Kessler Ride is the spiritual successor to that board). TT how much did you just pay for those 10 boards total?

(yes I understand that you will probably sell a bunch of them for a profit, that's what I used to do... until I realized I made a lot more per hour spent on my regular job. I even went through a phase where I owned 7 snowboards... but I grew out of and have paired it down to 2 boards now).
