Cool Winds of Change @ MSLM

Just got back from opening day at MSLM. Awesome !!! But here is the news. The entire Junk Yard Terrain Park has LIGHTS !!!!!! And not cheapo lights. I was chatting with one of the Senior Instructors who informed me that they are set up to not cast any shadows. Do you know who cares about shadows?

Television.

I don't follow the big events schedule, but it looks like MSLM is looking to host a major event (maybe already has one booked ?) and the Instructor informed me that night Skiing / Riding is not happening this season, but for sure next.

Never thought I'd see the day. This hill has held off doing lights for a very long time, but nothing speaks like the almighty dollar.

Get it. Wax it. Ride it.

There were three lifts running and about a dozen runs open. The groomers were working hard and I suspect that for tomorrow, there will be more terrain opened up.

Conditions were hardpack, but no ice and they have a very nice base to start the season with.

Bluebird sky, about -5C and just a fantastic way to start the season.

Get it. Wax it. Ride it.
