You need to get everyone in your crew to get their head around the fact that at Smuggs there are NO highspeed lifts. Everyone needs to dial down a little, enjoy the scenery on the way up the mountain, chat about life and do some of what you should be doing on a trip like this, chill.
It is a fun mountain to ride. It is much more "traditional" in the sense that there are more "trails" than there are wide open vista type runs, especially up top. As I don't hit the park, I can't comment. Perhaps someone else will provide that info.
As I am sure you have heard, Smuggs promotes itself as a Family resort and the amenities reflect that. You will not find much "nightlife" if any at all. You will have to make your own "apres" hill fun. Everything is within walking distance and there are some very good restaurants just a short walk off the resort proper.
If you are doing condos and plan on doing some of your own cooking, you need to stop the coach somewhere on the way in to do some shopping. Things may have changed, but selection on the resort was limited.
Sharpen your edges, put on a fresh coat of wax and I am sure you will enjoy what I would described as a very good traditional Eastern ski resort.
Get it. Wax it. Ride it.
