ive rode those the past couple of seasons, tons and tons of pow over there..stayed there for 5 days and one of the days we saved the 50$(used it on gas though) and rode that for a few hours, no cops or security came. drove a truck up to the top, 1 person stayed back, rotated through. that hill can get very nasty to drive on though...

right on! there weren't too many of us out there. the north side was where is was at today for us. we rocked that until about 3:30 and then packed it in (couldn't take the wind/snow making anymore).

dude, that 50+ km/h winds together with the snowmaking was like thousands of needles penetrating through all our various ski masks...goggles freezing up for the first time each time there was a whiteout... freezing with 0 visibility, yet plenty of powder.. madness... still, first day back and it was awesome.. definitely hardcore but whatever, the rest of the season can't possibly be that bad..

And as if the freaking snowstorm wasn't enough, we left when they closed (since we got there like 1:30 :-/ ) and got stuck in a snowbank for a couple hours on highway 26... people around us getting stuck and spinning out one by one regardless of car make or model... after three OPPs, countless people willing to help without the means, tow truck finally arrived and helped us get rid of $60

just got home now, 12:36... we left at 4:30.. can you believe it

oh, first time the go pro went out (which we lost and found), despite conditions I think it filmed it pretty well

awesome so your not the only one that spent some time in a ditch on hwy 26 haha my buddy spun out bad on the 26 right at that S turn before stayner. We spent 45 mins in there waiting for CAA towed us out and we were on the mountain riding by 10:30. Some nice locals stopped to see if we were ok while OPP zoomed right by twice without even stopping which was extremely strange.

Damn InfiniteE, really sorry to hear that, totally sucks, but at least you guys are o.k.
I got back to toronto around 6:30. we skipped HWY 26 and went through wasaga without issues. (i even drove right through the road closed sign exiting blue mtn near that private rental shop, I'm rockin' a brand new F150 4x4 though, so no issues with a bit of snow). We're going to head back up there on Thursday if the wind dies down.

lol yea a few people got stuck so i'm sure no one felt too bad about it

but you're right, the locals were very kind, and strange the opp didn't stop... 2 tow trucks passed us as well, but the one that came mentioned "priority" and apparently we were as 'high' as we were because the opp called it in

no worries, it was good times still haha... yea we saw the sign and waited a while but no one seemed to be going thru so we didn't either, not the best car for the conditions. OPP was saying they should've closed 26 too and didn't know why they hadn't so they basically kept driving up and down checking/warning everyone

Thursday should be great... we were talking to ski patrol and they said they expected great conditions wednesday+ so hopefully we'll head back
