that's because their website shows absolutely nothing. tbh their website really sucks and doesn't do the store justice.

Just an fyi, Hogtown has a deal running...you can get a 2011 Skate Banana, or GNU Park Pickle, with Burton Freestyle Bindings. All in for 450 (tax incl).

Seems like a good one even if it's 2011.

be a PRO and support your LOCAL SHOP!
buying online from the STATES is plain dumb!

local shops can service you much better then some DUDE in the States

DON'T DO IT

PS if a local shop sells Arbor, they can certainly do a special order for you if the board is available.

well if it is so great down there why not move there?
buy online from a US website
make sure you pay the duties and tax and shipping and see how much cheaper it is
and pray you have no warranty issues
cause it will be a pain in your ass when you have to deal with it!

be proud of where you live

So because I don't agree with getting gouged for consumer goods I should move to the states? Thats a pretty fucking moronic statement. Why would overpaying for something show how proud I am of where I live? I don't have to pay duties because I have family and friends in the states. A lot of times with the money I save I just use it as an excuse to go visit them.

The whole warranty thing is a joke as well. The one time I had warranty issues I was told to just contact the manufacturer anyways and even then most companies don't really warranty shit anyways.

From what I understand though it's not really the retailers fault. They get screwed by the government on taxes and have to raise their prices as a result. Perhaps if enough people would vote with their wallet then steps would be taken to make our market more competitive and better for everyone. I'm not gonna hold my breath though.

you are right it is not the retailers fault
but every time you buy from the US, you are taking a sale away from a Canadian retailer, in essence taking away a job from many. all because you want to save money, which in turn most times is not really that much.
so we may as well close all the doors!
but that is your perogative to get the best price
i just strongly believe that supporting your local retailer is the smart decision
we agree to disagree

Meh, it's not like Americans are bad though. I mean I can understand the whole feeling of not buying chinese products, cause those cunts can go fuck themselves. When it comes to buying from another western nation, I don't really feel bad about "local" losing out. Besides, a lot of the shops around here have horrible selection anyways.

be careful what you say about Chinese made product, there is a ton of it being made there by many MANY brands!
it is unavoidable, cheap labour keeps the prices way down!
lots of the BIG companies take advantage of manufacturing there
and buying BIG usually means buying from a publicly traded company
if you wont buy locally, make sure you BUY from snowboarders not bankers!
