Off the side of louis express and at the top of the smaller express on the moonstone side you can walk to the corner of the fence, just walk through gap and theres a nice powder opportunity.

@Brownsnow - Did you ride the orchards, how were they?
'ya touched the orchards a couple times, pretty nice to see them filled in.

the best was the north side, and it just got better and better as the day went on. There was a sweetest stash across the walking bridge and past Kandahar. Where the run starts there's a trail into the woods. Hike that and then hike up the hill (about 10min walk). The friday was the first time there was enough snow in there to run those glades without fear of getting hung up on something. Absolutely awesome day! (as i type this it's all melting, LOL!)

I realized that storm chasing in Ontario is tough unless you have an adequate vehicle. For me getting the day off was no problem, I am fortunate to have a very flexible job + bank a lot of leiu days that I can use whenever.

Glad to hear someone at least got after that pow day at Blue. Was soooo tempted to drive up solo. Having a honda fit (very low ground clearance) with no winter tires forced me to hit up Glen Eden instead. What an amazing day though, when you could find terrain steep enough to get speed on the mellow terrain there. The one bonus was they had the limeridge lift closed until about 2, leaving fresh tracks for those of us that hiked for them. I rode almost non-stop from 9am-3pm and didn't want to leave, but feared the roads would be getting worse by the minute.

Though, all day I was wishing I were somewhere steeper and taller, it was sure as hell fun getting fresh tracks filled in by 3cm/hr puking snowfall.

A few gopro snaps:

Burning a vaca day to hit up blue so I can avoid the God awful crowds is not really appealing to me. Add to the fact that I need to be able to take that day off last minute in light of a snowstorm is difficult...i guess for me I rather just bank those days and roll the dice when i head out of town. Thats just me though.

Funny thing...when I was a revy and had a 15-25 cm dump the whole town of revelstoke showed up on a Thursday morning...police, welders, school kids w/ parents...it was interesting/awesome to see the town shut down and appreciate a pow day.
You sound like my kind of rider: save the vacay/sick days to chase pow on a weekend in VT or even QC!!

Back when i was learning to snowboard, I used to session Blue/MSLM or Holiday Valley on any good snowday, but those days are behind me... might as well save the resources to chase snow on good(ish) mountains! Sadly, most of my trips now are pre-planned so far in advance that they happen regardless of snow conditions All of my "snow-chaser" friends have moved on to more accessible hobbies...
